Serial number
Where do I find the serial number?
On the label on the radio, on some units on the display or in the car documents. Details on How it works.
What if I have no serial number?
Without a serial we cannot help. Please contact your dealer.
Part number or serial number?
We need the serial number. On VAG radios it starts with VWZ, AUZ, SKZ or SEZ.
Entry and lock
What does SAFE mean?
The radio is locked and waiting for the code.
What do I do after a wrong entry?
Leave the ignition on and wait until the lock has run out. The wait depends on the unit.
Can I try 0000 or 1234?
Please do not. Every failed try can make the wait longer.
Ownership and safety
Do I need proof of ownership?
You confirm it with the request. In some cases we may ask for more details.
Do you help with used radios?
Only if you acquired the unit lawfully and you are the owner.
Dealer and workshop
Can the dealer give me the code?
Often yes, with the car papers and usually for a fee.
Are you linked to a manufacturer?
No. We are an independent service.
